How Can We Help You?
General
For our main campus, you can begin Year 1 in the Fall or Spring term. You can begin Year 2 or Year 3 in the Fall term. For our U.S. extension campuses, you may begin Year 1 in the Fall or Spring term and Year 2 in the Fall term. For our online campus, you may begin Year 1 at any time. We offer a wide variety of schedules for each of our campuses. For instance, at our Main Campus we offer both Day School and Hybrid options. Explore the different options and locations by hovering over “Campuses” in the menu.
The Year 2 mission trip is part of the curriculum at Charis Bible College and is a requirement to graduate. A mission trip is up to 10 days including travel days. Teams are sent out during the school year between December and April. Trips are both international and domestic. This is a hands-on ministry experience where students put into practice what they are learning in class by participating in a variety of ministry and evangelism opportunities. Incoming students should be prepared to provide a copy of their passport as soon as possible.
You will graduate from Charis at the end of Year 2. However, Charis offers a number of specialized Year 3 Programs if you choose to continue your education.
Absolutely! With just a basic understanding of using computers and email, you can make it through Charis. We have a dedicated team of student help desk specialists ready to assist you. Additionally, our main campus has a student computer lab that is open throughout the week for hands-on assistance and special training sessions.
There will be a short test at the end of each course. You will be assigned a Bible reading plan to complete in Year 1. Coursework varies between Year 2 and Year 3 Schools.
We have agreements with King’s University, Life Christian University, and Vision University. Please contact them directly for more information.
With proof of a high school transcript, you will receive a non-accredited associates degree (Without a high school transcript, you will receive a diploma). You will also receive a minister’s license in the state of your campus. Upon graduating Year 3, you will receive a certificate of completion for that school.
We are not currently accredited; however, this offers us the freedom to provide world-class Biblical teaching & training in our various programs.

Anyone 17 years old or older is eligible to attend Charis. Our student body is diverse, with people represented from many different cultures and all ages.
Applications are accepted until the term you are applying for begins. Please contact us at 844-360-9577 to discuss your options with an Admissions Counselor.
International applicants are encouraged to complete their application on or before July 1 to ensure there is time to process the application and meet all the requirements. See the International Student FAQs below for additional information.
Yes, students frequently transfer between our various campuses. Depending on when and how many of our courses you have taken will determine your options. Please contact us directly to initiate a transfer from one campus to another.
Once you apply, we will contact you regarding admission. Once you are approved, you will need to pay a deposit to become a student.

**U.S. Extension Campus part-time program costs $3,600 per year for a total cost of $7,200.
The total fundraising goal required to graduate is set at the beginning of each academic year. These funds are then used to send all Year 2 students on mission trips. Students are provided training to learn how to fundraise.
We do not offer scholarships as we are not an accredited institution. This means we do not accept government grants or have a work-study program. However, we do accept VA benefits.
Depending on the campus, we offer several tuition discounts including advance pay and spousal discounts.
In addition to this, we also offer some amazing employee discounts for those who have been full-time employees of the Ministry for at least one year. This includes a 50% off tuition for you and, depending on your position, for your spouse and dependents as well. Yes, our main campus in Woodland Park, CO is certified to accept Chapter 33, 35 and 31 benefits for our Day School students only at this time. We are not eligible to accept yellow ribbon benefits. Our Online Campus, U.S. Extension Campuses, and International Locations are not eligible for VA benefits.

Your first payment is due by the first day of school. Please contact us for questions about making a payment or to speak with an Admissions Counselor.
International Students
If you have a green card, permanent resident card, or a visa then you are eligible to attend any of our U.S. campuses. If you do not, our main campus in Woodland Park, Colorado issues M-1 student visas. Everyone is eligible to attend our online campus. You may enter the country 30 days prior to the first day of school, and you will need to exit the country within 30 days of the last day of school.
Under the M-1 status, international students are unable to work. Therefore, they must show proof of funds before the I-20 is submitted. The amount of proof of funds for a student is the following:
- Year 1 – $24,880.00 USD
- Year 2 – $27,380.00 USD *Includes funds required for mission trip.
- Year 3 – $25,480.00 USD
These funds are intended to sustain you during the 9-month period you are attending Charis. This is not indicative of the full amount required for cost of living. It is the absolute minimum required amount. Additional funds are required if you are bringing your spouse or dependents in the following amounts:
- $7,000.00 USD for spouse
- $6,000.00 USD for each dependent
If you are on an M-1 visa, you are not allowed to work and your spouse and/or dependents on an M-2 visa are also not allowed to earn income within the United States.

Housing & Relocation

Most of our students live in Woodland Park or Colorado Springs, CO. Other options near Main Campus are Divide and Florissant, CO. For assistance relocating to Woodland Park, CO please contact us.
